Adjusting cuff bracelets

By design our silver cuff bracelets are adjustable by the end user without any special tools – to suit varying wrist sizes.

The size we quote on the description page is an approximate diameter, obviously before any adjustment. To see how this compares to your actual wrist, measure across at the widest point using a ruler. Don’t try to use a tape measure, or bend the ruler, since this will measure around your wrist, you want to measure the width in a straight line.

Obviously wrist dimensions vary considerably, for women typically from about 5 to 7 cm, with the average wrist measuring approximately 6cm. If your wrist measures 5cm or less you have small wrists, 6cm or above then you have larger wrists.

Instructions for adjusting

Please be aware, once you have done this, we can no longer offer our unconditional exchange guarantee. We can adjust for you, see below.

To make our silver cuff bracelets smaller, simply grip using two hands securing each “side” of the cuff between your thumb and forefinger, now gently apply pressure on the ends of the cuff to bend them inwards. (boyfriends and husbands seem exceptionally good at this –they have to be good at something)

Returning for adjustment

Silvershell has a special machine for adjusting the sizes of our silver cuff bracelets. We are happy to adjust (where possible) to your required size. If you want us to do this before shipping, please indicate so in the “notes” at checkout. If you’ve already received the item, please contact us for return information, we will meet the cost of postage.
